SEAL Team 6 Disaster Will Get Congressional Hearing

SEAL Team 6 Disaster Will Get Congressional Hearing.

After reading the book “Lone Survivor” by Marcus Luttrell, I had to seriously wonder about the planning that went on sending our premier guys into harm’s way.  From reading a book it appeared that there were some major defects in thinking about how and where guys would be located for a reconnaissance and what their plan B is should the proverbial SHTF.  In a rescue effort, a bunch of guys were sent in a Chinook, shot down and all were killed.  Why, I asked were these guys all together in a single, slow moving, large assed target ripe for RPG’s?

And just a couple of weeks after OBL is taken out in a raid by SEAL Team 6, and Barry does laps taking credit for finding, fixing and killing the no. 1 target for America, so many are again taken out in a single, large assed, slow moving target.  When I think of SEAL’s, I think of fast movers.  I think of small teams.  Everything about this scenario smells rotten to me.  I admit I have not been in the military.  I did not serve.  My father did in Vietnam.  When he came back, he told me to stay in school.

But my instincts tell me that the planning, the lack of equipment, or whatever excuses are offered up for why the elite of our men are place in a single, large, relatively slow moving target with no site prep (bombing, strafing, whatever you want to call it) leaves them easy pickings for a single guy with and RPG is just stupid?  How is this possible?  Who screwed the pooch?  Why isn’t someone hanging from the yardarm, or if they are, why haven’t we been told?

While distasteful as it seems, I think we all know that it is within the realm of possibility that our guys were “offered” up as payment for assistance from some “enemy” of America so that certain people could have their day in the sun claiming to have taken out OBL.  I pray it isn’t true.  But I also have no faith in another Congressional hearing.

How about a criminal investigation?  Too much of this shit happens and no one pays for it.  Our heroes pay, their families pay, America pays, but the big wigs in the halls of Washington and the military hide behind “National Security” concerns or “the fog of war.”  No one is responsible?  Are you serious?  Are you frick’in kidding me?

The South China Sea Is the Future of Conflict

The South China Sea Is the Future of Conflict.

Uh, yeah.  China is acting like a two year old.  Hard to blame them with an American administration that can’t get out of their own way and in every other way in foreign affairs appears to be intentionally making nice with those who used to be our enemies.  Our citizenship laws allow visiting foreigners to come to the U.S. on vacation, pregnant, drop their baby while on vacation in the U.S. and their child gets to go home with dual citizenship.  Walla!  Presto!  Chango!  But I digress.

Our universities are full of Chinese students getting educated at what are still the best schools in the country.  But again, I digress.

The Chinese military is rolling out new generations of weaponry that is based on technology that has not been battle tested.  It is not necessarily ready for prime time.  Well, there is only one way to work on the bugs in weapons systems and that is to have a good old fashioned dust up.  This is what Hitler’s Germany did in Spain using a pseudo-war for the purposed of wringing out their new weapons and developing strategies for using them most effectively.

So while the U.S. military has been whittled down in order to direct funds to more “peaceful” means like food stamps, and other wealth redistributive efforts, our enemies have been arming up.  In the South China Sea, China has been picking on long time friend, the Philippines, and now Japan, claiming territorial rights to waters, islands and airspace and daring anyone to do anything about it.  And that is a double dare!

The thing with weapon systems made from technologies purchased and/or stolen from others is that does not mean that China possesses a innate capability to do research and development, to design and manufacture new versions of products and ideas in a timely and productive way that will achieve the level of quality and performance that a dominant world bully, er, I mean leader would need to be feared, er, I mean be respected in their neighborhood and around the world.

The Bear and the Dragon

Just a one of Tom Clancy’s novels portrayed an airliner being used as a weapon years before 9/11, he also wrote a book called “The Bear and The Dragon” which pitted Russia against China.  Proving weapons against neighbors who have nothing comparable, like the Philippines, is not a real test.  So who in the neighborhood is also arming up and developing new generations of weapons after a couple of decades of dormant activity?  Russia.  And who is also acting like he wants to restore Russia to it’s former glory as the big bad Bear in their hemisphere … you got it … Putin.  Tom Clancy was a very insightful guy and the timing of his story may just be coming around.  Just maybe.  Wait and see.  I do not think the Chinese will be foolish enough to test their “new” systems, weapons, pilots, etc. on even the minimized US military.  Still too many bugs to work out.  And what remains of the U.S. capabilities can still pack a mean punch.  I think they would get their butts kicked.

Think it’s a little far fetched?  That’s what people thought about driving airliners into business towers before 9/11.  Not likely you say.  Are you serious?  Are you frick’in kidding me?

Peter Schiff Bashes “Feeble And Fictitious” Budget Deal | Zero Hedge

Peter Schiff Bashes “Feeble And Fictitious” Budget Deal | Zero Hedge.

It is interesting to me when a deal like this is announced and a Republican star like Paul Ryan is paired with a whozzat? like Patty Murray (man, these Dem women are fugly!) to announce a deal? before vacation time that is supposed to put the public at ease so they can go their merry way and spend like crazy to pump up the economy with money they just don’t have in the wallet.  Credit maybe.  Cash, not likely.

And then John Boner has a melt-down because some people (and he calls out the TEA party much to Harry Reid’s delight!) don’t like the deal and reads them the riot act and is shocked and has never seen this in his tenure as SOTH (speaker of the house).  SUMBITCH should STFU and go take his vacation.  Everyone would be better off.

Peter Schiff calls it as he sees it and also thinks it was a wasted display of political ineptitude, glad handing and probably more posturing for the upcoming run for 2016.  At this rate, Trey Gowdy or Rand Paul get my attention more than this limp wristed attempt at crossing the aisle for political solution to the deficit problem and debt ceiling debate which will come up again early next year.  When will the Republicans grow a pair and stand up for principles and fight back to the BS tactics that the left constantly put into play, maybe I’ll start paying serious attention to what they have to say.  Nuclear option?  OK Harry Reid, you want to play … bring it on!

The system is broken and only a major catastrophe will cause a reset.  It will be painful and it will not be pretty.  The only thing that Peter Schiff neglects to discuss, although he alludes to them, are the “outside powers” who will not tolerate the continued fiscal irresponsibility being displayed in D.C.  I wonder what he was referring to, or about whom he was referring.

But another political deal that accomplishes nothing.  Do they think they are really fooling anyone?  Are they serious?  Are you frick’in kidding me?

Most Americans are simply focused inwardly, looking only at their own problems.  Do they have a job?  Do they have food on the table?  And now the Obamacare distraction of “Do they have health insurance, never mind the broken promises made by the President himself.”

The driver to me is PAIN.  When sufficient pain is realized, then anger happens and change will result.  Pain is personal.  It will not accumulate in sufficient quantity for a sufficient duration to sustain committed action as in civil action where consequences could be dire because the government will not simply stand by and allow such displays to happen without repercussion.  People have to be under sufficient pain to be willing to risk other consequences as acceptable alternatives to the present.

APATHY Rules!

Pain

And then there is the issue of where to focus the anger.  Again, the forces of evil have been at work dividing the people who are easily made to point fingers at one another as the cause of all the ills of the others.  Somehow, and you might think that lies coming consistently from one administration trying to take over one sixth of the economy and turning inside-out would at least get people looking in the same direction, but nooooo!

People place themselves and their needs ahead of our country.  What is needed is just what the Founders did and that was to set aside personal concerns and risk all so the union could develop and continue … so that tryanny and royalty would be wiped away … so that liberty and freedoms could rule the day and government be established to serve the people.

Government serve the people?  Are you serious?  Are you frick’in kidding me?
