Cadaver – Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Cadaver – Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

Drives me crazy how the media here in the Philippines continually refers to dead people, bodies, corpses from all kinds of causes as “cadavers.”

Do they not have access to the internet?  Does none of their international colleagues correct them on proper use of terminology rather than perpetuate the incorrect use of english words?

A CADAVER is a dead body that is being used in medical school for educational or research purposes.  It is not a dead body found lying in the street after a natural disaster.

For educated people who have their diaspora all over the globe, this shows one of the frustrating traits of Filipinos, they are stubborn and stuck in their ways … unwilling to learn.

Dead bodies … cadavers?  Are you serious?  Are you frick’in kidding me?
